Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 10 a.m. for longtime Westside resident, Wilma Jo Bingham, 74. Mrs. Bingham was born in Oklahoma on January 15, 1934 and passed away in Bakersfield on March 19, 2008. She lived most of her married life in the Taft area and attended the First Assembly of God Church. She was a member of the N.R.A. and was an avid hunter and fisher woman. She was also a very motherly woman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Stella Horn; her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbie Sue Bingham; and brothers, Charlie and Lee Horn. Mrs. Bingham is survived by her husband, Wally Bingham of Dustin Acres; her daughter and her husband, Debra Jo and Mark Jennings of Laguna Beach, her son and his wife, Jeff and Helen Bingham of Bakersfield; her sister and her husband, Velma and Bill Smith of Oklahoma, her 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, and close friends, Elwood and Phyllis West, Ronnie and Susan Rogers and Sonja Spell. Also surviving her are several; nieces and nephews and many other close friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home for those who would like to pay their respects.
