Willie Myrtle Irvin Pocock, long time resident of the West Side, succumbed Thursday in a local hospital. Final rites will be conducted from the Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel Saturday at 10 a.m. with Aaron P. Brown , minister of the Church of Christ of Taft, officiating. Interment will follow in the West Side Cemetery. Born near Water Valley, Miss., February 29, 1888, she was the youngest of 10 children. She is survived by only one living brother, Dude Irvin of Sardis, Miss. A resident of the state since 1926, she had made her home in Taft for 31 years and at the time of her death resided at 418 Philippine St. She was a member of the Church of Christ for 40 years. Widow of the late Arther George Pocock, she is survived by two sons, Irvin Geeslin of Taft and Monroe Geeslin of Los Angeles; daughter, Mrs. Frances Hiemforth of El Centro and three grandchildren, Dixie Ann Geeslin, Karen Hiemforth and James Irvin Geeslin.
