Mr. William James Hollingsworth, owner of the W. J. Hollingsworth Well Servicing Company, died at his home, 718 Fillmore Street, Saturday morning, Dec. 12. He was born February 21, 1893, in Green County, Missouri. He had been a resident of Taft for the past 42 years and of the state, 47 years. Survivors include his widow, Lucy; three sons, Stanley and Robert of Bakersfield and Chester of Taft; six grandchildren; three brothers, Jack and Charles of Taft and Homer of Houston, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bisbee of Trenton, N.J. and Mrs. Jessie Oclschlager of Lynwood. Mr. Hollingsworth was a member of the Corinthian Lodge, 22, F&AM, Akotoks, Alberta, Canada; the Production Pioneers and a senior member of the Petroleum Institute. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Erickson and Brown Chapel by Reverend Alan Reesor of the Bakersfield Methodist Church. Interment will be in the West Side District Cemetery.
