Mr. William Cowan (Bill) Spence succumbed at his home at 403 Warren Street Sunday morning. Mr. Spence had been a resident here since 1921 and was a native of Scotland having been born September 13, 1891. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post 70. He had been employed by the city at the joint sewage disposal plant since the plant came into operation. Survivors include his widow, Irma, a son William Eugene Spence, one grandson and several relatives in Scotland. Services will be conducted in the Chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. Reverend Aaron Brown of the First Christian Church will officiate.
