Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Elks Lodge Home, Center and Lincoln Streets, for Mr. William B. Neuman. Mr. Neuman, 59, drowned while on a clamming party Thursday between Oceano and Grover City. The services will be conducted by the Taft Elks Exalted Ruler George Steinmets. Pall Bearers will be Eddie Coffee, Al Fox, Ray Bracken, Paul Bell, Ted Peahl, Ralph Trahan, Tom Montgomery and Herbert Evans. Mr. Neuman, 231 Asher, was born August 26, 1899, in Boden, North Dakota. He had been a resident of Taft for 15 years and was the proprietor of the Pioneer Beverage Company. Survivors include his widow, Marie; his his mother of Axusa; five brothers, Robert, August, Fred, Joseph and Immanuel, all of Shafter and one sister, Mrs. Esther Neissen of Santa Barbara.
