Funeral services for Walter Henry Lockwood, a resident of the West Side since 1911 and who passed away Monday in a Veteran’s Hospital in Los Angeles, will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home. Midway Lodge 426, of which he was a member, will have charge of final rites. Burton H. Miller will be acting master in charge. Mr. Lockwood, a retired oil worker of the Union Oil Company, was born December 31, 1888, in Parsons, Kan A Veteran of World War I, he served four years in the United States Navy. He resided at 700 Kern Street, Taft, with his widow, Nora Bell, at the time of his death. Survivors include a son, Stanley R. of Taft; brother, Guy Lockwood of Smithville, Tex; and sister, Mrs. Eva Pyatt of Parsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Fund, 1730 D Street, Bakersfield, Calif.
