Mr. Thomas Rex Shelburne, General Petroleum Boston Lease, succumbed Sunday in a Bakersfield hospital. He had been a resident of the West Side 37 years and was born October 2, 1899, in Wakita, Okla. He was a member of the Taft Lodge 516, F&AM and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mable; a son, Thomas R., Freemont; a daughter, Aline Radford of Santa Cruz; two brothers, Kermit of Oklahoma City; Robert of El Centro, and a sister, Mrs. Lewis Pitzer of Hash, Okla. Seven grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock with the Reverend Joseph Bruner officiating. Interment will be in the West Side District Cemetery. Friends May make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church Children’s Home in Inglewood.
