Mr. Stanley Frank Shane succumbed yesterday at his home, No. 7 Midway Road, Fellows. He was born September 27, 1888 in Abilene, Kas., and had resided in this area 41 years where he worked with the CCMO before his retirement. Mr. Shane served as captain of the State Guard from October, 1941 to September 1943, and was a member and past master of Temblor Lodge, Fellows. Survivors include his widow Maude; one son Frank Shane of Taft, one step-son, Ray Wright, Coalinga; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Berry, Whittier; Mrs. Ruth Donovan, Twenty-Nine Palms, and Ruth Cummings, Coalinga; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Laubbert, Denver, Colo. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 10 a.m. in the Erickson and Brown Chapel with Earl Gwin, Master of Temblor Lodge officiating. Interment will will follow in the West Side District Cemetery.
