Rudolph John Epply, Jr., 636 D Street, died at hos home Monday night. He was 75. Epply, a World War I veteran, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Jan. 20, 1888 and has been a resident of Taft for the past 33 years and of the state for 52 years. He was a contract carpenter. Survivors include his widow, Kathrine; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Choice of Taft, Mrs. LaVerne Hanson of Bakersfield, Mrs. Jerilee Klinkers of Decatur, Michigan, and Mrs. Dora Mae Ebbert of Lompoc; eleven grandchildren; and seven sisters, Mrs. Lou Smith of Bakersfield, Mrs. Bertha Banman of Bakersfield, Mrs. Mamie Milligan of Morro Bay, Mrs. Helen Rick of Ytica, Michigan, Mrs. Edna Tinny and Mrs. Carrie Baum, both of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Betty Banman of Aberdeen, Idaho. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Chester R. Lewis of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow the rites in the West Side District Cemetery.
