Roscoe Stumbaugh, a long-time resident of the West Side, passed away yesterday in a local hospital. He resided at 206 Jackson Street. Mr. Stumbaugh was born January 18, 1880 in Iowa and had been a resident and prominent citizen of Taft for 34 years. He was a retired CCMO employee. Survivors include four sons, Wayne Stumbaugh, Delano; harry Stumbaugh, Taft; Lyle Stumbaugh and Harley Stumbaugh, both of Bakersfield; daughter, Mrs. Irma Spence, Taft; brother, Mahlon Stumbaugh, Estes Park Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Gwen Norcross, Alliance, Neb.; Mrs. Clayton Johnson, Belgrade, Nebr.; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Rev. Paul S. Ray of the First Baptist Church will officiate at the services to be conducted Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel.
