Mrs. Ora Alma Hankins, widow of Robert A. Hankins, succumbed at her home in Derby Acres March 17. She was born February 8, 1879 in Winston County, Mississippi. She had lived in Derby Acres for three years. She was a member of the Taft Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Olga Barnes of Bakersfield and Mrs. Melba Wilson of Derby Acres; one step-son, R.C. Hankins of Wichita, Kansas; two step-daughters, Mrs. Flora Glasgo, Santa Ana, and Mrs. Mary Thomas of Carter, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Gillette of O’Fallon, Missouri and Mrs. Wilma Wilson of Fellows. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Erickson and Brown Chapel with Reverend Walter Reed of the Fellows Baptist Church and Mrs. Estelle Spradlin of Derby Acres officiating. Interment will be in the West Side District Cemetery.
