Maurice Lee, 108 Lexington Street, died her last night in a local hospital. He was 39 years old. Besides other relatives he leaves his wife, Ruby Mae. Funeral arrangements are pending. Mr. Lee had been store manager at Continental-Emsco Company since 1942. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Wilmington Masonic Lodge, the Taft Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and Trade Club. He was active in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. He was born in Green gate, Bradford Shire, England, July 7, 1918, and had resided on the West Side 22years. He is survived by his widow, Ruby Mae, one daughter, Claudia, both of the home address, mother, Mrs. Emma Lee, Taft, and two brothers, Arthur, Salt Lake City and Baxter, Phoneix, one sister, Mrs. Muriel Heinle, Stockton, and other relatives. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 198, Wilmington, Taft Rotary Club, Taft Trade Club and the Chamber of Commerce. Services will conducted Friday morning at 10 o’clock in the Episcopal Church with the Reverend John Atkinson officiating. Taft Masonic Lodge will conduct the interment services at the West Side District Cemetery.
