Matthew Charles Doyle, well known citizen of Taft, passed away Sunday in a local hospital. Mr. Doyle, who had resided at 532 Olive Street with his wife, Anna, is a retired employee of the Taft City Schools, having worked there for 33 years. He was born in Chicago, Ill., February 4, 1889, and had been a resident of Taft since 1922. He was past president of the California School Employees Association. Survivors in addition to his widow include two sons, Matthew H. Doyle and Raymond A. Doyle of Taft; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Kautson of Visalia and Mrs. Guy Petrelli of Fresno; a niece, Marie McCle Millaney, Norwalk; four grandchildren and other relatives. Rosary will be Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. in the Erickson and Brown Chapel. High Mass will be ati 10:30 Wednesday morning in the St. Mary’s Church with Rev. James Voytko officiating. Interment will follow in the West Side Cemetery.
