Funeral services for Leon Carl Sutliff will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the IOOF Hall with sponsors of the Newton Lodge, Fellows, and Reverend Max E. Greenlee of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in the West Side District Cemetery. Mr. Sutliff who succumbed Thursday evening in a local hospital was past District Deputy of the IOOF. He was a member of the Newton Lodge and the Samaritan Rebekah Lodge. He was a past president of the California School Employees Association and at the time of his death was head of the bookkeeping department at Taft Union High School and College. He was born in Lansing, Mich., April 15, 1894. Survivors include his widow Mamie E. Sutliff of Taft; two sons, Leon E. Sutliff of Taft and Alva Sutliff of Oregon; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Duff of Taft; nine grandchildren and one brother Earl J. Sutliff of Los Angeles.
