Lena Izora Ballengee died at her home at 306 Eastern Ave. last night after residing on the West Side for the past 39 years. A native Texan, Mrs. Ballen- gee was born August 12, 1893, in Grayson County and came to California 40 years ago. She was a member of the Calvery Temple Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her husband William M. Ballengee; three sons, Louis W. of Taft, Loral J. of Taft, and Robert G. of Los Angeles; three daughters, Olla Mae Richards of Taft, Dorothy L. Parker of Taft, and Lola Fern Chapman of McKittrick; 10 grandchildren and six great grand children, She is also ‘survived by two brothers, C. D. Hammons of Mangum, Oklahoma, and John Hammons of Hobart, Okla., and one sister, Mae Davis of Tulare. Funeral services will be held at the Erickson’ and Brown Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Dr. Samuel Prescott of Calvery Temple officiating at the, rites, followed by interment in the West Side Cemetery.
