Kathleen “Kitty” CORBITT b. December 16, 1888 d. January 24, 1945 Midway Driller: KATHLEEN CORBITT DIES WEDNESDAY Mrs. Kathleen Corbitt, 56, passed away Wednesday at her home at 206 Fillmore Street in Ford City, following an extended illness. The deceased had been a resident of the West Side for three and a half years. She had been employed at Gardner Field and was known as Kitty. She was born in Roe, Arizona, December 16, 1888. Surviving Mrs. Corbitt are a daughter, Mrs. John T. Phillips of 102 1/2 Pierce Street; a son, Private A.L. Corbitt in the field artillery stationed somewhere in France. One sister, Mrs. K.D. Myers of Tucson, AZ; one brother Reese Pollard Hughes Jr., of Clarendon, Arkansas; three grandchildren, all residing in Taft. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the chapel of John C. Brown Mortuary. Rev. Edwin Brock of the Ford City Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the West Side Cemetery.
