Reverend Paul S. Ray will conduct funeral services in the Chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home Monday morning at 10 o’clock for Joy Anna Murphy. Mrs. Murphy died in a local hospital last night of injuries received in an automobile accident Tuesday. Mrs. Murphy made her home on the Victory Oil Lease in McKittrick. She was born in Taft, June 29, 1928 and had resided on the West Side her entire life. She was employed as office manager for the McKittrick Mud Company. Club affiliations include membership in the Pocohantas Club, Desk and Derrick and she was present president of the McKittrick PTA. Mrs. Murphy was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Taft. Survivors include her husband, Orval S. Murphy and a daughter Cynthia Lynn of McKittrick; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Westbrook of Taft; a brother Robert F. Westbrook of New Cuyama and her grandmother, Mrs. S.R. Easter of Kansas City, Mo. Interment will be in the West Side Cemetery.
