Funeral services for James Milford McKenzie, 78, who died in his home late Tuesday evening will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel of Erickson and Brown. McKenzie, a retired oil worker, was born in Benton County, Missouri on November 3, 1883, and had resided in California for the past 58 years and on the West Side for the past 53 years. His residence was at 225 1/2 Olive Street. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Cleo Miller of Hanford, Mrs. Lilda Hogue of Ventura, Mrs. Vivian Wayne of Avenal and Mrs. Lavonne Shrock of Menlo Park; three sisters, Mrs. Orah Young of Oakdale, Mrs. Lucy Breshears of Wheatland, Missouri, and Mrs. Alita Scott of Miami, Missouri; two brothers, Asa of Wheatland and Roy also of Missouri; nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Rev. Norval Ketchum will conduct the services followed by burial in the West Side Cemetery.
