James E. Baker Succumbs Sunday, Rites Wednesday June 26, 1957 Funeral services will be con- ducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home for James Edmund Baker, who succumbed Sunday afternoon in a localhospital. Officers of Lodge 516,F&AM, of which he was a mem- ber, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Max E. Greenlee of the First Presbyterian Church of Taft. Interment will be in the West Side Cemetery. Mr. Baker was born in Waraw, Mo., May 2, 1892, and had resided on the West Side for the past 37 years. At the time of his death, he made his home at 309 Buena Vista. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in. France with the Medical Department. Survivprs include two sons, James M. Balcet and Donald Ted Baker, both of Taft and five daughters, Elaine Bell of Seattle, Wash., June Walker of Arroyo Grande; Roberta Lenz of San Diego: Joyce Davis and Shirley Dixon, both of Taft, and 15 grandchildren.
