Funeral services were held today in the Chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home at 2 p.m. for James Columbus Loughridge, 82, of 716 Polk Street. The ceremony, conducted by the Rev. Woodrow Allen of the Church of Christ in Ventura, was followed by interment in the West Side District Cemetery. Mr. Loughridge, who passed away in Ventura Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Celestine Downey, was a resident of Taft for 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maggie Loughridge, Taft; two daughters, Mrs. Downey, and Mrs. Floy Helton of Taft; brothers Tom and Walter, both of Ardmore, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mr. Loughridge was born on April 4, 1880, at Eden, Georgia.
