Mrs. Ida M. Newman died Saturday in a Fresno hospital. She was born April 12, 1878 in Utica, New York. She came to California in 1910 and settled in Maricopa in 1913. She remained there until moving to Fresno two or three years ago. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Maricopa. Mrs. Newman was the widow of Thomas D. Newman. She leaves on son, Howard of Orange; three daughters, Miss Madalene Newman of Coalinga, Mrs. Alice Mott of Fresno and Mrs. Betty Kroeger of Ookala, Hawaii, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock in the Chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home. Rev. Max E. Greenlee will conduct services and interment will take place in the West Side District Cemetery.
