Hubert C. Stout of J-4 Victory Square, Taft, died Saturday afternoon in a Bakersfield hospital. He had been a resident of Taft for the past four years. He was born February 19, 1899 at Ava, Missouri. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are three sons, James L. of Taft; Clifford of Chicago and Leonard of Joplin, Mo. He also leaves three daughters, Lavona Sessom of Taft, Mrs. Loraine Reed of Taft and Mrs. Ava Lee McCraw of Joplin, Mo. Also surviving are four brothers, Shirley of Vera, Okla., Ira of Richie, Mo., Raymond of Vera, Okla., and Harold of Tulsa, Okla. Two sisters, Lela Ramsey of Idaho Falls, Ida., and Lena Horne of Claremore, Okla., also survive, plus 11 grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Donald D. Darst officiating.
