Funeral services are pending for Helen Edith Hairston, resident of Taft for 45 years, who passed away yesterday evening in a local hospital. The family home is Section Nine, CCMO, but for the past two months she had resided at 150 Kern Street. Mrs. Hairson, native of California was born in 1887 in Nevada City. She was a member of the Rebekahs, Neighbors of Woodcraft, VFW and charter member of the Native Daughters of Golden West, Miocene Parlor No. 228, playing an important part in the organizing of the local group. Survivors include her husband, W.O. (Bill) Hairston, and daughter, Elda Reynolds, both of Taft; grandson, Jim Reynolds, Tujunga and niece, Ruth Phillips, Redding.
