Harley Towle, well known Taftian succumbed yesterday afternoon at his home at 618 D Street. Funeral services will be conducted by Erle Beebe, Worshipful Master of the Taft Lodge 516 Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the West Side Cemetery. Towle, a World War I veteran, was born in Battle Creek, Mich., February 9, 1899, and had been a resident of Taft since 1910 where he was active in his community affairs. He was a member of the Taft Lodge 516 and Royal Arch Taft Chapter 128. At the time of his death he was employed at the Texaco Oil Company. He is survived by his widow, Janice, living at family home; step-son, Daniel McClure, Taft; brother, Paul Towle, Fullerton; sisster, Mrs. Harry Morris, Tokyo, Japan, and other relatives.
