George Edward Maddox, Sr., of Fellows died yesterday morning in a local hospital at the age of 46. He was born in Osage Country, Okla., on July 1, 1916 and had resided here for the past 16 years. He was a retired Texaco Oil Company employee. Survivors include his widow, Alline; two sons, George Edward, Jr., and Ronald; four daughters, Mrs. Patricia Alline Bonner and Mrs Judy Brown of Taft, Carolyn Sue Cupp of Santa Maria and Norma Jean Maddox of Fellows; three brothers, Henry S. Maddox of San Diego, Richard of Fort Defiance, Arizona and Frank of Seminole, Okla. He is also survived by five sisters, Mrs. Ada Ackers of Ventura and Mrs. Helen Gray, Mrs. Betty Gentry, Mrs. Mary Hallum and Mrs. Nettie Mae Weaver, all of Seminole, Okla; as well as nine grandchildren and his father, Henry S. Maddox. Funeral services will be held in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Lonnie E. McAllister of the Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the West Side Cemetery.
