Frederick Everett Westbrook, post office employee, passed way in a local hospital this morning. Mr. Westbrook had been in the services of the Taft Post Office as a rural route carrier for 21 years, and had been on the West Side for the past 27 years. He was born May 15, 1888, in Manhattan,Kansas, and had lived in Taft at 812 B Street. A World War I veteran, he was a life member of the No. 12 Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. He was also affiliated with the First Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Edan Viola Westbrook of Taft; a son, Robert Westbrook of Cuyama Valley; a brother, Lawrence Westbrook, Fort Ethan Allen, VT., a sister, Mrs. Ross Cook, Seattle, Wash., and two grandchildren. Services scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home, Rev. Paul S. Ray, officiating.
