Mrs. Etta May Penney died at the family home Saturday morning, November 26, in Fellows. She had resided in that area the past 37 years. She was born April 11, 1882, at Jackrabbit, Nevada. Mrs. Penney was a widow of the late Henry Carl Penney, and was a member of Winkelman Chapter Number 19 Order of Eastern Star at Hayden, Arizona. Survivors include two sons, Henry Carl Penney, Jr. of Santa Paula and Robert Emmett Penney of Fellows, three daughters, Janette Dayton of Phoenix, Noma Collins of Taft and Jane Fike of Bakersfield, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One brother also survives Ray Brizzie of Utah, and four sisters, Nellie Haller of Colton, California, Viola Dale of California, Laura Lee of Hayburn, Idaho, and Lula Stoddard of Tucson, Arizona. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Taft Chapter of Eastern Star will officiate, also Rev. J. w. Bruner of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery.
