Mrs. Dora Katherine Ruxton succumbed Saturday evening, January 7, in the local hospital. She was born January 24, 1886, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Ruxton had been a resident of Taft for 45 years coming here in 1911; she made her home at 810 Lincoln Street. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dora Ebbert and one brother, Rudolph Epply, both of Taft. Three grandchildren also survive. Seven sisters, Mrs. Bertha Banman, Bakersfield: Mrs. Lou Smith, Old River; Mrs. Maine Milligan, Avenal; Mrs. Betty Banman, Aberdeen, Idaho; Mrs. Helen Rick, Mt. Clements, Michigan, and Mrs. Carrie Baum and Edna Tinney, both of Cincinnati, Ohio and other relatives are survivors. Mrs. Ruxton was a member of Pythian Sisters and the Women’s Benefit Association. Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 10, in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. Reverend John Atkinson of the Episcopal Church will officiate. Interment will be in the West Side Cemetery.
