Funeral services for Donald George McCaslin, 33, of 610 Seventh Street, who died Monday in a Bakersfield hospital, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home. McCaslin, a veteran of the Korean War, served as a captain with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was born Dec. 10, 1929, in Follansbee, West Virginia, and had resided on the West Side for the past six years. A member of the First Methodist Church, McCaslin is survived by two sons, Donald G. and Harry Edwin of Bakersfield; his mother, Mrs. Gertrude McCaslin of Taft; a brother, John E. Jr. of Ft. Pierce, Florida; and three sisters, Mrs. Betty Prine of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mrs. Clara Vulgamore of St. Paris Ohio, and Mrs. Mary E. Morris of West Hollywood, Florida. Rev. Chester Lewis of the First Methodist Church of Taft will conduct the services which will be followed by burial in the West Side District Cemetery.
