Donald Eugene Glendening, native of Taft, succumbed Friday morning in a Modesto hospital. Mr. Glendening was, born in Taft, July 4, 1924 and attended Taft schools through Junior College. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Methodist Church of Modesto and a member of the Moose Lodge of that city. He had been living and practicing Chiropody in Modesto for the past three and one-half years. Mr. Glendening is survive by his widow, Jeane, two sons, Kimber and Steven of Modesto; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis E. Glendening of Taft; a brother, Dale L. Glendening, Taft; a sister, Mrs. L.W. Erickson, Taft and his grandmother, Mrs. Jack Williams, also of Taft. Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Reverend J.A. Crawford of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the West Side Cemetery.
