A resident of the West Side for the past 42 years, David Lutton, of 105 1/2 Lucard Street, died early today in a local hospital, he was 66. Born in Belfast, Ireland on April 7, 1897, Lutton came to Taft in 1921. He was employed with the Standard Oil Company before his retirement. Survivors include his widow, Mary; three daughters, Mrs. Jean Reed of Avenal, Mrs. Patricia Hunt of Taft and Mrs. Roberts Stewart of Sylmar; two sons, David of San Diego and Tom of Fresno; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, William of Los Angles, and George of Ireland; and three sisters, Mrs. Mag Shaver of Grover City, Mrs. L.A. Mann of Woodlake and Mrs. Ruth Carroll of Long Island, New York. Funeral services for Lutton, who was very active in the West Side Little League baseball program, will be held Monday morning at 11:00 o’clock in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow the rites in the West Side District Cemetery.
