Dallas H. Mitchell, who lived in Taft until three years ago when he moved to San Bernardino, died Thursday from a heart attack at Salt Lake City, Utah. He was attending an insurance conference there. Mr. Mitchell was born at Roosevelt, Utah, April 13, 1904. He came to Taft in 1933. He was a member of the Junior College and Taft Union High School board. He was also a member of the hospital board here. He worked here for years with the Standard Oil Company, and was also the owner of Magneto Service and Supply Company. Her leaves his widow, Laura Kay, of San Bernardino. Also surviving are his father and mother, Nathaniel Alfred and Susie Mitchell, of Nyssa, Ore. Mr. Mitchell leaves two daughters, Mrs. Loraine Peckham of Stockton, and Roberta Seymour of Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Calif. Also surviving is one son, Carl, of Prov, Utah, plus six sisters and several grandchildren. Friends may call at Erickson and Brown Funeral Home Monday evening. Services will be held in the chapel there Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Max P. Brown officiating. burial will be in the West Side Cemetery.
