Funeral services for Chester Klinger who died February 24 in a boating accident, will be held Wednesday afternoon, March 2 at 2 o’clock in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joseph W. Bruner of the First Baptist Church will officiate and interment will follow in the West Side District Cemetery. Mr. Klinger was born August 1, 1921 in Liberal, Ore. He was employed by the Standard Oil Company, and had resided in this area for the past four years. He was a World War II veteran. He is survived by his widow Dessa, one son, Wayne Alfred; one daughter, Diane Gail; all of the 603 South Street address; his father, Ona F. Klinger, Oregon City, Ore.; his stepmother, Vera Klinger; also of Oregon City, Ore.; one sister, Dorothy Felix, Molalla, Ore.; one half-brother, Eugene Oeser, Salt Lake City, Utah; two half-sisters, Marian Blackman, Camby, Ore.; and Ceolo Cotter, of San Diego; his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis, Reedstown, Wis.; and other relatives.
