Charles Benjamin Lisman, 81, of 340 F Street, who passed away Wednesday in a Torrance hospital, was born on Oct. 13, 1881 in Brownwood, Tex. He was a retired oil worker and had lived on the West Side for about 18 years. He established his residence in California 67 years ago. Among Mr. Lisman’s survivors are one son, Donald E. Lisman of Redondo Beach; one daughter, Thelma Mae Roberts, Santa Maria; two brothers, Charles P. Lisman, Taft and Joe W. Lisman of Abilene, Tex; sisters Viola Downing, Annie Betcher, Jewel Barton and Bonnie Batts, all of Abilene and Amelia Wreidt, Bakersfield; four grand children and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o’clock in the chapel of the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home. The Rev. E. J. Authelet of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the West Side District Cemetery.
