A resident of the West Side for the past 40 years, Mrs. Blanche Robbins, 413 Kern St., died Saturday morning in a Bakersfield hospital. She was 66. Mrs. Robbins was born in Gainesboro, Tennessee, June 4, 1896, and had lived in California for the past 46 years. Survivors include her husband George E.; two daughters, Mrs. Jackie Wright of Anaheim and Mrs. Bonnie Thomas of Van Nuys; three brothers, Jake “Lefty” York of Shell Beach, Billy York of Gainesboro and Tom York of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; a sister, Fannie Harff of Gainesboro; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m. with Rev. L.F. Romines officiating. Burial will follow in the West Side Cemetery.
