Asbury Mobley, 73, of 700 Taylor Street, passed away in a Bakersfield hospital yesterday. Mr. Mobley was born in Parker County, Texas on September 10, 1889 and came to California in 1946, residing on the West Side since that time. Survivors include two sons, S.J. Mobley, Taft and Linnie Mobley of New Cuyama; three daughters, all of Taft, Mrs. Cleota Loosier, Mrs. Maxine Barker and Mrs. Nita Thomas; a brother T.F. Mobley of Yukon, Okla; a sister, Sally Mobley, Duncan, Okla., 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a nephew, Willard Moore, also of Taft. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. W.E. Davis of Taft Heights Assembly of God Church on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Erickson and Brown Funeral Chapel, follow by burial in the West Side District Cemetery.
