Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Chapel for Alvin D. Arms, 56 F Street, Fellows. Sheriff’s deputies stated the body of Mr. Arms was found in his auto at noon Saturday by his daughter, Mary Mitchell of Fellows. The deputies stated that death was apparently self-inflicted and that Friday the victim had borrowed a .32 calibre revolver from a friend. A coroner’s inquest was scheduled today. Mr. Arms was born October 16, 1915 in Sidney, Texas, and had been a resident of the Westside for the past 14 years. He was an employee of the Chanslor-Western Oil Development Company. Survivors include his widow, Eva of the home address; his mother, Mrs. Allie Arms of Comanche County, Texas; two daughters, Mary Mitchell and Martha Arms both of Fellows; three brothers, Jesse T., R.J., and R.W. all of Comanche County, Texas. A sister, Marlene Bernard resides in Houston Texas. The Reverend Max Greenlee of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate and interment will be in the Westside District Cemetery.
