Mrs. Agnes D. Appling, 207 East San Emidio, succumbed Saturday morning in a local hospital. Mrs. Appling was born April 5, 1890 in Mt. Bullion, Calif. She was graduated from the Burnett Sanitorium in Fresno as a registerd nurse in 1911. She was a member of the California State Nurse’s Association and had worked for a member of years at both the Fort and the West Side District Hospital. She had been a resident of Taft for 33 years. Mrs. Appling is survivied by her husband LeRoy C. Appling; one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Clark; one granddaughter, Cheryl Leroy Clark; two sisters, Miss Julia Trabucco of Delano and Mrs. May Ham of Fresno; one brother, Frank Trabucco of Hornitos and one nephew, Jack R. Ham of Fresno. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the Erickson & Brown Chapel. Howard M. Pond will conduct the services. Interment will be in the West Side Cemtery.
